There are Federal Benefits paid through the Public Safety Officer's Benefits Program (PSOB) which is a division of the US Department of Justice for the family of an officer who dies in the line of duty. These benefits include lump sum of money and educational benefits for the family.

Arkansas has benefits for families which include educational, workman's comp, retirement and other organizations that my help the family. The money benefit and educational are determined by the State Claims Commission.
